| Emergencies First of all, we al hope you never need this page. But if you do and something goes wrong, in Benahavis we have a doctor doing consultations from 8.30 until 12.00 from monday to friday. You will find him/her on the village mainstreet, next to between Restaurante Rufino and Baggy's. There is also an " ambulatorio " or First Aid Centre in San Pedro de Alcantara, on the road upwards from Mac Donalds at the first traffic lights, which is open 24 hours. But if something serious happens, just drive past Marbella on the coastal N340 and drive straight to the Hospital Costa del Sol, about 5 kms on the other side of Marbella. You'll find this hospital is better equipped than most of the ones in the U.K. There is also a new hospital on the road to Estepona, at the Selwo exit, which is covered by Sanitas. The farmacy is on the village main street, next to the church, and opens from 09.30 until 13.30 and from 18.30 until 21.00, mondays to fridays. A 24/7 farmacy is located in the San Pedro mainstreet ( Avenida Las Palmeras ). |
